Zach mccue - YOUTH PASTOR

My name is Zach McCue and I’m honored to serve as the Youth Pastor at Merriam Christian Chapel. I married my beautiful wife, Becki, in October 2016, and the Lord has blessed us with two wonderful daughters, Evelyn and Lilah. I was born and raised in Kendallville and have a deep heart for the youth of Noble County and beyond.

As Youth Pastor, I have the joy of leading our middle school and high school students - and walking alongside their families - as they grow in their relationship with Jesus. I graduated from Grace College in 2013 with a degree in Biblical Studies and have been serving in vocational ministry for over a decade. I came to know Christ the summer after my senior year of high school. Even before that, I was deeply impacted by my church’s youth ministry, both in my senior year and in the years that followed my salvation. That experience shaped my calling and fuels my passion for reaching and discipling students. My wife and I share a passion for equipping the next generation to live lives that honor God, using the unique gifts and talents He has given them.

In my free time, I enjoy playing board games with my family, hosting barbecues, and getting out on the disc golf course.

TERA ANDREWS - MUSIC MINISTRY COORDINATOR & OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR

My name is Tera Andrews. I serve as the Music Ministry Coordinator here at MCC, as well as the Office Administrator. I’ve been involved in music ministry for most of my life and have served as the Music Ministry Coordinator for over 5 years. I have been working as an Office Administrator for 7 years. I am married to Tim and we have 5 children, 3 of whom are married and 8 grandchildren with one on the way. I came to know and love the Lord as my Savior early in life and I learned to love singing just as early. I am so grateful God has allowed me to use both of those loves to serve my church family. It is the desire of this church to proclaim the supreme glory of God by making disciples, building the body, and reaching the world. We endeavor to do this in all aspects of our lives, including our corporate worship as the body of Christ. If this is your desire - whether you’re a seasoned musician or just love to sing - I’d love to connect with you and help you find a place in our worship team community.

When I’m not busy at the church, you might find me teaching 2nd graders, reading a good book or enjoying the lake.

Deanna Thompson - Children’s ministry coordinator & community outreach coordinator

My name is Deanna Thompson and I am the Children’s Ministry Coordinator & Community Outreach Coordinator here at Merriam Christian Chapel. In this position, I get to take part in helping to coordinate our Children’s Ministries and outreach events. I married my husband, David, in May 2008 and we have three children. I was born and raised in Churubusco and have attended Merriam since I was just a few days old. Having accepted Christ at a young age, it is a joy to watch kids come to know Christ and grow in their relationship with Him. In our Children’s Ministries at MCC we want to encourage and assist parents in the spiritual development of their children through age-appropriate worship, Bible instruction, and ministry opportunities in a safe and welcoming environment. Through our community outreach events, we desire to make connections and build relationships with those in our community, share the gospel and be the hands and feet of Jesus.

In my free time, I enjoy reading, spending time with my family, doing puzzles, camping, and bargain shopping.

Maddie Sherman - office administrator

My name is Maddie Sherman. I began working at MCC as an Office Administrator in 2018. I love interacting with those who contact the church office and I enjoy providing support to our pastors, various ministry leaders and members of the congregation. I have attended Merriam Christian Chapel my whole life and I came to know the Lord at a very young age. One of my other favorite ways to be involved at MCC is through our music ministry.

I am married to Brady and we have 4 children. If I’m not at the church, you can find me spending time with my family, doing something music-related or reading a book!
